ONDE will perform construction and electrical work for one of the largest electricity storage facilities in Europe.

ONDE has secured a contract to build a battery electricity storage facility (BESS) for a global investor in the renewable energy sector. The facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2027.

The ONDE Group, a contractor and developer specializing in renewable energy, will implement another storage project. Its scope includes the construction of a substation, along with construction and electrical work for the electricity storage facility. The investor and client is a global developer of renewable energy projects. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.

This contract is another natural step in the global energy transformation, necessary to stabilize the energy mix, which, along with the decline in cell prices and the demand for grid balancing, has become one of the most promising in the industry. This is the second contract in the electricity storage segment signed by ONDE in recent weeks. We are working intensively on further projects, – comments Paweł Przybylski, President of ONDE.

The electricity storage facility being built for the investor is currently one of the largest installations of its kind in Poland and Europe. A full load would power over 500,000 households 24/7. According to the National Energy and Climate Plan, the capacity of battery storage is expected to more than quadruple by 2040, reaching 8.7 GW. These will include both large-scale storage facilities independent of wind farms and those built alongside them, as a complementary element of efficient infrastructure.
