ONDE is developing abroad

ONDE started 2023 with a bang, by winning another contracts in Lithuania. The stock-exchange listed company will conduct works on the 80 MW wind farm for a company from the Enefit Green Group. The order value is EUR 25,7 million.

The scope of works covers a comprehensive execution of 14 foundations for Nordex wind turbines of 5,7 MW each, as well as laying and connecting s44 km of high and medium voltage cables. According to the contract, the works are to be completed in June 2024. It is another contract for ONDE in the Lithuanian market. August 2022, the company won an order worth over EUR 3 million to construct foundations during erection of a 60.5 MW farm for European Energy, the Danish investor with whom ONDE has been cooperating in Poland for years.

‘Lithuania is a smaller than Polish, but interesting market. Taking into account the geopolitical situation, very good wind conditions, and a favourable legislative environment, it can develop intensely in the coming years. – comments Piotr Gutowski, ONDE Vice-President. –‘We have already been gaining references and experience that will allow us to set down roots in the country of our eastern neighbours. Our goal is a strong position of the contractor both in terms of PV and wind installations.

‘Foreign markets are an important direction for ONDE development. They ensure for us diversification, so important in business, in relation to orders in the Polish market, where legislation still inhibits RES development, instead of supporting it.’ – adds Piotr Gutowski.
