ONDE secures its first contract in Romania

A contract worth approximately PLN 36.8 million for the construction of a wind farm in Romania marks the next stage in the international expansion of Poland’s leading contractor for large-scale renewable energy installations.

The ONDE Group, a construction and development company, has signed a contract to deliver comprehensive design, supply, and construction work for a wind farm in Romania. This represents the company’s first contract in the Romanian market and another step in ONDE’s sustained international expansion, building on active projects already underway in Germany, Lithuania, and Latvia.

The scope of the contract includes the construction of wind turbine foundations, access roads, and assembly yards, as well as medium-voltage infrastructure. The net value of the contract is EUR 8.5 million (approximately PLN 36.8 million), with work scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2028. The client is a Romanian special purpose vehicle owned by a Western European renewable energy investor.

ONDE is consistently expanding its presence outside Poland, focusing on high-potential European markets within the renewable energy sector. It is currently executing projects in Germany for industry giants Nordex and Enercon, as well as in Latvia and Lithuania, where its developments include a major wind farm.
